Our Glow Parties...

Our two-hour children's glow party discos are hugely popular and a great way to celebrate a birthday for both boys and girls of any age and include disco, games with numerous prizes, bags of sweets to throw out, UV-reactive face-painting and confetti cannon finale.


During the party...

We break after 1 hour for any food you bring. We highly recommend you do bring party food as the parties are energetic and fast-paced. The break usually lasts around 25 minutes. We then sing Happy Birthday (with your cake being brought out) before we continue the party building up to our confetti cannon finale!


Hiring a venue...

You will need to hire a venue. Things to look for are venues with curtains or blinds which can make the room dark even in the middle of the day. Also, some venues won't permit confetti cannons. Village & church halls are usually OK as long as they are cleared up afterwards.


Public bar?...

Some public bars won't allow the confetti cannon so if you are booking one of those, it's worth checking. We can recommend loads of venues all along the Yorkshire Coast area so if in doubt, do ask!


Paddy & Nicky...

Paddy has worked in the entertainment industry for over 25 years as a radio presenter, event host and DJ and has hosted children's disco parties for a number of years.. He is Dad to 12 and 15 year olds.


Nicky has over 17 years experience working with children of primary school age and SEND as a local Teaching Assistant. 

Here to help make sure everything runs smoothly, Nicky also comes in with a parents perspective having three teenage children of her own, therefore understands the importance of everything running smoothly whilst still full of fun and energised organised chaos!



How many children...

We suggest a maximum of 30 for the average-sized village hall. Also, we can only do the UV-reactive facepainting for parties of up to 30 children. If you want to invite more, you will need to let us know in advance and we will bring some extra prizes instead.

FAQ's...

What's Included?

We provide everything for the disco including sound, lighting and DJ booth. We host a 2-hour party (with 25 min break after 1 hour) with disco, games, prizes, sweets to throw out (for every child), uv facepainting* and confetti cannon with uv-reactive confetti. The party is hosted by both of us. Facepainting is for parties of up to around 30. For larger parties we bring extra prizes instead of Facepainting.

Who Is A Glow Party For?

The simple answer is ANYONE! We have done glow parties for children celebrating their 4th and 14th birthdays and for boys and girls. We will tailor the party to suit the ages of the children attending but from pre schoolers to tweens and teens boys and girls we cater for everyone!

How Long Do I Need To Hire The Venue?

We request an hour before and 30 minutes after for set up and packing away, so a venue should be booked for 3 and a half hours.

Which Venues Are Best Suited?

We recommend a venue with curtains or blinds which will make the room dark enough for the UV lights to be effective in the daytime. We have worked at most local village / church halls and bars and can recommend plenty. Just ask.

Do We Have A Break During?

Yes! We recommend you bring or arrange for food & drinks for the children for an hour into the party. The parties are fast-paced and energetic so the children will be hungry and appreciative of a break! We usually break after 1 hour for around 25 minutes. Then we restart the disco with Happy Birthday as you bring out the cake.

Is The UV Facepaint Washable?

The UV-reactive facepaint we use dries quickly on the skin and will last the duration of the party. Simply wash off with water after use. The paints we use are cosmetically certified, and meet all requirements under the EU Cosmetics Directive.

Who Cleans Up The Confetti?

The confetti cannon finale is a truly magical climax to our Glow Crazy Discos. The children absolutely love it! Once the party has ended, we are busy de-rigging and packing away. We therefore request one or two people are nominated to go round with a sweeping brush to clear it up. It is quicker than you might expect and more often than not, the whole venue is cleared of disco equipment, tables and confetti in around 20-30 mins.

Are There Strobes & Smoke?

We don't bring strobes but our lights do flash and are bright LED lights. We sometimes use a haze machine for lighting effects but we never fill the room due to smoke detectors and it is safe.

Do We Pay A Deposit To Book?

Yes. We always take a deposit to secure the date. The remaining balance is payable on the day.

How Much Does It Cost?

Our parties are incredible value! Please send us a message for a quote.

What If We Want To Cancel?

If you have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances but would still like the party, we will try and rearrange the it for another date. If you wish to cancel the party altogether, you will lose the deposit. During the Covid-19 pandemic we have been as flexible as possible over rescheduling events.

Glow Crazy Discos Terms Of Booking

A deposit is required to secure GLOW CRAZY DISCOS services for your event. To include Face Painting, we limit numbers to 30 children. If there are more, we can't get round everyone. If you want more children to attend, please inform us and we will replace the Face Painting with extra prizes for the games instead.
Full payment is required on the day of the party, before the start of the party. We reserve the right not to not hold the party without payment been made. If you need to move the date of your event, we will do everything in our power to reschedule. If we can't find a date, deposits are non-refundable. You agree to be responsible for the hire of the venue and its cost. The duration of the event, including how much time is required to set up and pack away will be agreed in advance. We usually require an hour before and 30 minutes after a party to set up and pack away. Parties are 2 hours in duration, which includes a break of around 20-25 minutes in the middle for any food you bring. All our sound and lighting is PAT Tested annually and we have Public Liability Insurance of £5 million. The sound and lighting equipment we use will depend on the venue, number of people attending etc. Before your event, GLOW CRAZY DISCOS will contact you to confirm details of the party. This is usually via online message. We don't expect any problems but we have a zero tolerance to verbal or physical abuse or to anyone putting the equipment at risk of damage or the host in danger. We reserve the right to stop hosting the event if either of these occurs. For Glow Crazy Discos involving the confetti cannon, you (or the venue) are responsible for sweeping up the confetti after the party. We have to pack away our equipment, usually within 30 minutes and often are heading to another venue afterwards. Confetti is usually swept up in 10 minutes or so. Many village and church halls have large brushes which help speed up the process. We apply the UV reactive neon face paints for children wishing to have a splash of colour on their faces during the party. They are cosmetically certified and wash off easily.
